The Botterill Family have been farming on the Belvoir Estate for 70 years in the small village of Croxton Kerrial. They produce the best of the best in the poultry world just 20 minutes from our Claypole Shop.
The geese are a hybrid Legarth cross Embden. They arrive as day olds in Early May and once off heat and feathered they are let out around mid/late June. They then stay outside until Christmas. Although they are outside they are shut in a fenced compound each night to protect them from the fox. They roam the rolling hills of the Belvoir Estate with a rather wonderful view of Belvoir Castle.
